Volunteer Villages update

So my classes have been very busy creating houses. Only three days into the project, and we have over 500 houses from just my classes. There is another art teacher at my school who is also making the houses, and I have no idea what his numbers are. Of the 500, 200 have been coated with resin, and some of them have their pin backs glued on. The houses are soooooo cute, and the kids are having so much fun with them. This project is amazing!

Go Janet! Where are you going to be selling your houses. I'm wanting to do the project down here in Columbia, (TN) and wondering where I should sell them- particularly because we're a small private boarding school so I can't count on parents for sales...

Teachers at my school are taking them to church with them, parents are taking them to work, and I am asking local businesses to allow us to put a basket of them on their counters. I am also sending one house home with each student along with order forms. We are making both pins and magnets. My hope is that if the parent is not willing to buy the pins, they will send them back, especially since I am not guaranteeing that they will get their child's pin. It is a community service project, and every class is putting them in a bucket together.
